Canadian Big Band Celebration - New Format! Get in the swing of things! The 19th Annual Canadian Big Band Celebration will be held September 13,14 and 15, 2013 in the town of Saugeen Shores, which includes the beautiful lakeside communities of Port Elgin and Southampton Ontario Canada. Now in its 19th year the Canadian Big Band Celebration committee will be teaming up again this year, with community art and culture groups, to help celebrate the wonderful dance and dance pavilion heritage we share along the Lake Huron shoreline 1920s-1960s. The Canadian Big Band Celebration committee acknowledges gratefully, the financial support of the Government of Canada through the Department of Canadian Heritage.
